Seven shelves, one promise each

A shelf is not a genre. It is a promise about the first ten seconds of play, and every game belongs to exactly one.

Hot off the shelf

Four cards we keep reaching for

Pulled from four different shelves, in the order we would hand them to a newcomer.

Daily roll

Five games, today only

Everybody in Malaysia sees the same five on the same date. The set resets at midnight and does not repeat inside a fortnight.

Packs

Bundles that ignore the shelves

Length, company and stamina cross-cut the whole catalogue. A game can sit on a shelf and in two packs at once.

Cups

Four themed runs of four

A cup is a format, not a competition: four games played in order, scored together, uploaded nowhere.

Two players

One screen, two chairs

The Berdua pack exists for the moment somebody sits down next to you. No second device, no lobby, no invitation.

Badges

Eight stickers, no pressure

Decorative markers for patterns of play. They live in your browser and we never see them.

🏃Shelf RunnerOpen every shelf once in the same week.
👍Thumb of PecutFinish a timed run without lifting your thumb.
🤜Two ChairsPlay four Berdua pack games in one sitting.

Questions

Six things people ask

Straight answers, including the ones that make us look smaller.

Is NyalaPlay really free?
Yes. There is no payment path anywhere on the site, no premium shelf, and no advertising script.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no account system at all. Saved games and badges live in your browser and never leave the device.
What is a shelf?
A promise about the shape of a session. Seven shelves cover the whole catalogue, and each game belongs to exactly one of them.
How often does the daily roll change?
Once a day, at midnight Malaysia time. The same five games are shown to everybody on that date.
Can I play with someone else on one phone?
Yes. Use the Berdua pack, or any game tagged two-player. One device, no invitation, no lobby.
Does it work on a mid-range phone?
That is the target device. Every game is tested on a mid-range Android phone over 4G with a cold cache.

Ready to peel a sticker?
